 The pay of doctors vary with different grades and experience.

The following are the basic pays of doctors per annum in England . Pays are slightly higher in Wales ( few thousand pounds higher for junior doctors ).

These figures are before taxes and national insurance . These do not include banding payments.

Foundation doctors

Foundation doctor year 1 (FY1): £28,243

Foundation doctor year 2 (FY2): £32,691

Specialty registrar (core training CT1-2/ run-through training ST1–2) : £38,693

Specialty registrar (core training CT3/ specialty training run through ST3–5/ higher training after CT i.e.ST3–5) :£49,036

Specialty registrar (specialty training run through ST6–8/ higher training after CT i.e.ST6–8) :£52,036
